Senior Vice-President, Marketing & Business Development, Candu Energy

Francesca has over 20 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry.   She is currently the Senior Vice-President of Marketing & Business Development at Candu Energy, a subsidiary of SNC-Lavalin.  In her role, Francesca is responsible for strategy, business planning, marketing, business development, account management, contract negotiations, external relations, proposal management, and new product developments.  She has led multi-Billion dollar pursuits for large nuclear new build and refurbishment projects.   She joined SNC-Lavalin in 2008 as Director of Business Development and was named to her current position in 2016.

She started her career working as a mechanical engineer in California.  Prior to joining SNC-Lavalin, Francesca worked for Alberici Constructors as Director of Business Development, with a mandate to expand the US-based construction company’s business into Canada. Throughout her career, she gained considerable experience in driving the growth of new business in the industrial and power generation sectors in both the US and Canada.

Francesca holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and an MBA from Queen’s University.  She is a Professional Engineer in the State of California.  She has 2 kids, a son who’s 11 and daughter who’s 8.  Both kids play competitive hockey and as such she spends most of her free time in hockey arenas.
