As a senior consultant with Stratos, Leah works with the public sector, industry and Indigenous organizations in the natural resource sector to manage environmental and socio-economic benefits and impacts. Leah is well versed in the unique social, economic and environmental challenges and opportunities present in Canada’s northern communities. Leah has worked with mine sites and contaminated sites across Canada to provide services in socio-economic strategies and implementation, establishing and supporting governance bodies, local community engagement, risk management, and researching best practices for many of these topics. With degrees in systems design engineering (University of Waterloo) and development studies (London School of Economics), Leah is adept at integrating different types of knowledge from and communicating with multiple disciplines to solve complex problems
