Mr. Cornell has acquired invaluable experience in transportation, mining, hydroelectricity and heavy civil industry during his career with Kiewit. He recently served as a Construction Manager on the $1.5 B Turcot interchange in downtown Montreal. He also served as Construction Manager on the $1.8 B Lower Mattagami River Project, where 3 extensions to existing power plants were built as well as one new plant increasing the power distribution capacity by 260MW. Mr. Cornell has worked extensively on projects with aboriginal involvement, from BC to Newfoundland and Labrador, having fostered excellent working relationships throughout the country.
Mr. Cornell is proficient in all areas of project management, from estimation, to planning, scheduling, direct supervision, personnel management, optimization of resources, cost management, as well as in monitoring quality, safety and environment standards and objectives. He is proving to be an invaluable member of Kiewit’s team whose technical skills, combined with acute planning and sharp managerial skills contribute to Kiewit’s reputation to bringing projects in on time and on budget.
