Vice President, Aboriginal & Northern Affairs, SNC-Lavalin Inc.

Stephen is corporate Vice President, External Relations responsible for Aboriginal & Northern Affairs, for SNC-Lavalin Inc. Canada’s largest Canadian-owned engineering and construction firm.

He has been with SNC-Lavalin for over 30 years. Steve is responsible for developing and maintaining external corporate relations and partnerships with aboriginal organizations and businesses throughout Canada.  He is also responsible for corporate strategy, policy, marketing and business development in the aboriginal and northern marketplace.

Stephen has been working with Indigenous communities, associations and businesses throughout his career, including many First Nations communities and associations in northern Ontario.  He has also worked on many resource development and infrastructure projects in northern Ontario.  Among other projects, he is currently actively involved in the Wataynikineyap Transmission project and the Ring of Fire All-Season Road project.

Stephen is currently Board Co-Chair of the national Indigenous Works (previously the Aboriginal Human Resource Council), Board Vice Chair of HIPPY Canada, a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, as well as Native Child and Family Services Toronto.

Stephen lives in Toronto and is the proud father of two children.
