Co-owner, ServiceMaster Sudbury & Build North Construction
Tracy Nutt, together with her husband, is co-owner of two very successful companies, ServiceMaster of Sudbury and Build North Construction, and is a multi, award-winning entrepreneur. Tracy has been a member of the Sudbury chamber since becoming an entrepreneur more than 25 years ago, and has served on the chamber’s Board of Directors for a total of 10 years. Tracy was elected as the chamber’s Chair of the Board for our 2016/17 fiscal year, and was very active in promoting and advocating for government engagement in the Ring of Fire, for the repeal of Bill 148 and for our City Council to move forward with the development of 4 major municipal infrastructure projects during her term. She has been an active participant during several OCC and CCC AGMs, as well as OCC Advocacy Day at Queen’s Park, and last year’s OBAA gala. Provincially, Tracy has been involved with WSIB reform as well as a vocal dissenter of the changes to provincial labour laws. Furthermore, she consulted with, and had input into, the Ontario Registered Pension Plan (ORPP) that was eventually withdrawn, and took part in the consultation process and was vocally opposed to the creation of the Ontario College of Trades. Tracy is a policy “junkie”, enjoys a thoughtful discussion on a variety of topics impacting business, and isn’t shy about vocalizing her opinions. She is an ardent champion for Greater Sudbury’s and Northern Ontario’s business community, follows the Ontario economic scene, and is an effective relationship-builder. She is also a true entrepreneur, and enjoys both the opportunities and challenges that accompany that life.
